Espresso News is located in the highlands of historic downtown Boone, N.C. This cafe was conceived by the vision of Mark Debroder and Teresa Webb in 1994. Unfortunately, Mark’s life was claimed by cancer in 2003. When Mark was diagnosed with terminal cancer he asked if my wife Katie and I would want to continue his project in which he worked so hard to build. Being long time employees, and close friends, we felt honored to continue his brainchild.

Everyday we are encouraged by his memory and continue his idea of the utmost quality and of the embracing of our close knit community. Great coffee and great friends will always be the underlying character of Espresso News.

We’ve partnered ourselves with leading color and hair care manufacturers so that we could offer our clients superior results in the services they request.

Education has always been a big part of our culture at Haircut 101. Keeping abreast of the latest in techniques, styles and products has kept us fresh in our ever-changing fashion industry. We regularly send stylist to Bumble and bumble University, in New York City, to hone their cutting, coloring and styling techniques.

Listening to our clients needs and having open communication is essential to knowing what services to provide to attain the results that better suit each individual. We’ve also added to our services facials, waxing, make-up, acne treatments and stone therapy back treatments by our licensed Esthetician.

As we celebrate our 20th year in business we still hold fast the principles we started with, providing the absolute best to our clientele. We invite you to make a complimentary consultation appointment with one of our stylist to see what a difference we can make in the way that you look and feel.
